Contracts, proactivity, impact in spotlight at AIC NT annual conference
The AIC NT annual conference is set to shine a light on contracting, industry impact and how to use “proactive strategies” to navigate current business challenges.

NORTHERN Territory conveyancers will this week gather in Darwin for the AIC NT annual conference that will put contracting, impact and proactive business in the spotlight.
The October 25 conference, to be held at the Oaks Darwin Elan Hotel, is headlined by three keynotes, including from LMH Consulting partner Jane Le Messurier on “proactive strategies to manage today’s challenges in conveyancing”.
HWL Ebsworth lawyers Andrew Giles and Cathy Hernandez-Cusi will present a contracting conveyancing intensive, while Art Your Life founder Catie Kirke will address attendees on “Tune in: Your Voice Your Impact”.
Other presenters include PEXA chief information security Graham Fairley, First Title business development manager Fiona Schwab and triSearch CEO Chris Gibbs.
There will also be sessions from Grant Thornton risk consulting director Alan Connor, LodgeX CEO and founder Kathy Constan and Scantek/Easy AML senior business development manager Chris King.
The conference comes after property settlement platform PEXA in August launched in the Northern Territory, promising to make conveyancing faster, more secure and more reliable.
PEXA enjoys a near monopoly in the Australian e-conveyancing space, previously drawing criticism from federal Assistant Competition Minister Andrew Leigh.
