MORE than 70 conveyancers and lawyers are being taken on by rapidly expanding Settle Easy as part of a recruitment drive.

The Melbourne-based business, which has operations around the country, has already taken on 45 new staff in the first four months of 2025.

Another 35 are needed across all operations – with 90 per cent of those hires being either lawyers or conveyancers.

It is all part of Settle Easy co-founder Sam Almaliki’s mission to be one of the top 10 conveyancing firms in Australia by the end of the year.

“Between January and April, we hired 45 new team members. But we now need another 35,” said Sam.

“Of those, 90 per cent are lawyers or conveyancers.”

The entrepreneur, who has held senior executive positions at road safety pioneer Acusensus (ASX:ACE), Cricket Australia as well as board-level advisory positions at the ABC and SBS, spoke to Australian Conveyancer about Settle Easy’s expansion plans.

“We want to be one of the top 10 conveyancing firms by the end of the year – and we will do that by becoming the number one choice for Aussie’s looking to buy and sell property,” added Sam who also wants the firm to be known as the number one employer of choice.

Customer focus is front and centre of Settle Easy’s strategy, he explained, highlighting a hands -on approach to interaction with customers.

“We have running customer approval ratings of over 97 per cent,” he said.

“It’s the same with Google reviews. Of the hundreds of settlements in March, we had a 95.52 per cent customer approval score.

“So I will be ringing all of those who make up that 4.48 per cent to find out what we need to do to improve.

“You don’t get to where we are without being customer focused and delivering on our promise to make conveyancing easy.”

The busy businessman – who is also Chairperson of the Caulfield Racecourse Reserve Trust and the John Curtin Research Centre – pointed out that the firm that was founded in 2019 also has a people-first approach to staff.

“Even before COVID, we wanted to offer Australia’s best property lawyers and conveyancers the opportunity to work from home – and that has continued,” he said.

“Further, we are proud to now have 100% of our conveyancers and lawyers directly employed as valued team members and they are all locally based,” he added.

While Settle Easy’s expansion plans are eye-opening, he does not want to see it at the cost of other people’s business success.

“We are not about taking over other conveyancing businesses. We have always believed in organic growth by offering Aussies a compelling conveyancing offering” he said.
