New chief executive for Landgate
Trish Scully - who led the privatisation of the WA land titles register for $1.4 billion - is to be its next chief executive.
THE executive who led the privatisation of the WA land titles register for $1.4 billion is to be its next CEO.
Trish Scully has been announced as the new chief executive of Landgate.
Ms Scully starts a five-year term on September 2 at the privatised authority responsible for WA land titles register.
“Ms Scully was selected following an extensive search and a comprehensive recruitment process, which included selection panel representation from both the property sector and public sector,” the government noted in a statement.
The new CEO has nearly 30 years of experience in auditing, finance, strategy, project and general management and is currently the general manager location services at Landgate.
“She led the Landgate project team that helped deliver $1.4 billion in value from the partial commercialisation of the agency’s automated land titling functions,” the media release noted.
More recently, Ms Scully was responsible for securing a 10-year commitment from the Cook Government for Spatial WA, to deliver an Advanced Spatial Digital Twin for the State.
Bruce Roberts has been acting in the position since early 2024, following the retirement of former chief executive Graeme Gammie.
Landgate is the Western Australian Land Information Authority responsible for the State’s land titles register, provision of property valuation services to government, and maintenance and delivery of authoritative location information.
The McGowan government was paid $1.4 billion in the deal in 2019, using part of the windfall to compensate survivors of sexual abuse.
The deal compared to the $2.9 billion for the rights to the Victorian registry in 2018, $1.6 billion for the SA service in 2017 and $2.6 billion for the NSW office – also in 2017.
WA Minister for Planning, Lands, Housing and Homelessness John Carey congratulated Ms Scully on her appointment
“Ms Scully brings a wealth of experience of nearly 30 years across finance, strategy and senior management roles, including her current role at Landgate as general manager location services,” he said.
“I also want to take the opportunity to acknowledge Bruce Roberts, registrar of titles at Landgate for his efforts as interim chief executive.”
