The coast is also a clear favourite

WHILE Sydney’s outlaying suburbs to the north west continues their relentless sales surge, it seem property buyers are finding their little pieces of paradise on the central coast, Wyong and the Manning Riverland town of Taree.

There is no denying the price and location appeal of Marden Park, Rouse Hill, Wentworthville and Penrith. Transport improvements and affordability keeps the city’s fringe locations firmly planted in the top 10.

The convenience of the Marsden Park brought the area almost double the sales of second placed Rouse Hill during June. The rush is on and showing no signs of slowing.

But savvy buyers in NSW have taken their gaze aware from centre coast regions. The picture perfect The Entrance and Wyong, which is just a tad further away from Sydney’s CBD were also top pics last month. The space, serenity and the convenience linkage via the M1 freeway makes it a viable proposition for buyers.

Intriguing entry into the sales Top 10 for June was Taree – a few hours up the road from Sydney and not too far north of Newcastle.

For those who don’t know, Taree, a major service centre idyllically located at a point where the Manning River is wide and deep. The town is located 16 km from the mouth of the Manning River and it is surrounded by rich rural farmland where dairying, beef cattle and the timber industry still prosper. 

Tourism websites describe the town as an ideal place to stop and take a leisurely walk along the river or have a picnic in the riverside parklands. 

According to the sales statistics made available The Australian Conveyancer almost 1800 sales in that area landed in June.
